Recently our neighbors invited us over to pick however many apples we wanted from their apple tree. So, Andy went over and gathered a basket full of apples. I’m not much of a baker but when you have fresh produce how can you not put on the apron and do some baking?

I recently enjoyed a lovely Saturday morning breakfast made by my husband. It was so tasty and beautifully presented, I thought I’d take a break from reporting on the farm and share this delightful recipe with you!

So, until then, here is another wonderful new recipe I found in my Better Homes and Gardens magazine titled “Pizza and Pasta”. It is super easy to make, and it doesn’t require the oven which is awesome on these 100-degree days!

I’m always looking for new recipes often from cooking magazines I pick up at the grocery store. This recipe comes from the summer 2023 Better Homes & Gardens magazine titled Pizza & Pasta, page 57.

One of my favorite dishes to make is pizza. Once we are settled in Palisade, on the list of things to create is a proper outdoor living space that will have a woodfired pizza oven.

Italian Wedding Soup is one of my all-time favorite soups!

With the months finally starting to turn colder, I’ve been exploring and experimenting with different soup recipes. One recipe I came across and tried was Cheesy Chicken Taco Soup.

One of our favorite picnic foods is a whipped feta spread. When served with rosemary sourdough crackers and roasted tomatoes and garlic, it is simply delicious!

My mom gave me a wok as an Easter basket when I was in college and this recipe followed… it’s a family favorite. Thirty years later, I still use the wok.

We had Ribeye steak for Christmas dinner, and I had leftovers and thought a steak pizza was in order.

As we move toward spring in Colorado, our snow days start to increase (March and April are the snowiest months in our great state.) Soup is the perfect meal for a cold snowy day, couple that with it being Friday and Lent (no meat for us Catholics on Fridays).

It has become a tradition in my house that every Christmas morning while we are opening Christmas presents and stockings that we enjoy homemade pumpkin bread and coffee with the girls enjoying a cold glass of milk.

This pizza is perfect for late summer or early fall when the Palisade peaches are in season.

One of my go-to recipes when I’m short on time but don’t want to serve something that is short on flavor!

I’ve served this dish for breakfast, lunch and dinner (obviously not on the same day) and it is especially tasty if one is perhaps suffering from a hangover!
