Posh Gardens

Inspiring Creative Living

Taking Root in 2024. Located on East Orchard Mesa, Posh Gardens continues to evolve over time. Starting summer 2025 we are introducing an exciting new Farm to Table experience availble to our community both local and visitors to the Grand Valley. For a standard package fee and by reservations only, guests to the gardens can harvest their seasonal fuits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Kim will be on site to welcome you to the gardens, and provide harvesting tips. When you visit you will find:

Petite Fruit Orchard
Pecan Trees
Vegetable Patch
Soft Fruit Patch
Herb Garden
Flower Cutting Garden
Beehive

Spring 2024 we planted our petite orchard, vegetable garden and built a green house. The orchard offers two varieties of cherries, pears, apricots, the famous Palisade peaches, and three varieties of apples. We also introduced two beehives the summer of 2024.

The vegetable patch includes a variety of veggies such as Lettuce, Swiss Chards, Heirloom tomatoes, English cucumbers, Garlic, Leeks, Shallots and Asparagus to name only a few. Vegetables may vary from year to year depending on the demand. Guests of Posh Cottage are invited to enjoy the gardens, harvesting their own vegetables for a true farm to table experience.

In 2025, Posh Gardens added the soft fruit patch which is home to seasonal strawberries, rasberries, blackberries and table grapes. Over the next two years, we will be adding Gooseberries and a Mulberry tree reminiscent of Kim’s childhood grwoing up in the Midwest.

2026, Posh Gardens will expand again to include a cutting garden offering a variety of fresh flowers. The Herb garden will be relocated and expanded in 2027 to include both culinary and botanical herbs. We will also introduce chickens in 2027 so Posh Gardens can offer fresh eggs to both our Airbnb guests as well a those visitors enjoying our Farm to Table Experience.

The center of the market garden will be home to a spacious outdoor dining area that will evolve over time to include a pergola and fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bistro lighting powered by the sun. This area will also include a secondary outdoor fire pit with ample seating. Once development is completed, Floral Arranging and Outdoor Artist workshops will also take place in this space.

Designed with wide strolling paths each section of Posh Gardens will offer seating so guests can relax and take in the views, visiting artists can set up their easels and paint or draw and writers can reflect. Located in the south corner of the vegetable garden will be comfortable seating for two so guests can enjoy our Palisade sunsets will a relaxing glass of wine. Chase lounge chairs will be set up in the soft fruit section for night time star gazing.

Over time additional landscaping around the market garden will include arching trellis covered in flowering honeysuckle, inspired by Kim’s urban garden in Denver, Colorado and converging walking paths lined with lavender boarders providing relaxing scent as guests stroll the grounds.

As Posh Gardens has a multi-year timeline for development, guests are encourage and invited to return often so they can be a part of the gardens’ evolution and the development of the property as a whole.
